Not my home

I should have remembered it by now - this is not my home! This is not where I belong! I'm not here to make tons of friends, have lots of fun and try to have the most comfortable life possible! I'm here to find out about my God, try to be like Him, suffer like Him, serve Him if I can and then go home! But this is not home! I should remind myself that more often. Maybe then the pain and troubles in this world will make more sense. Yes, I have pain and grief and troubles but I was not made for them, they will not last, they are fleeting. Instead I am being prepared for a world of eternal joy and peace and a place for me is being kept. I don't belong here. This whole world, this whole system, this whole... life... This is not for me! This is not my home!
